Learning Resource Centre

Our Learning Resource Centre is a pleasant and refreshing learning environment, complete with air conditioning and a wide range of books. The centre is equipped with 15 networked computer workstations which, besides providing access to office applications and the internet, allow students to browse our Library book database. The Learning Resource Centre is used in lessons primarily by the English Department, although other departments are able to book it for their own use. The area is often used for Governors meetings and the tables can be setup in a variety of configurations.

Students have access to the Learning Resource Centre every lunchtime Monday – Thursday (Year 7 only on Monday), as well as having designated periods during form time to take out and return books. Books can also be returned in the return box located by the centre’s entrance. A Librarian is available to assist students in the centre during Monday – Thursday.

At the start of each academic year, student librarians are recruited to assist with managing the centre during lunchtime periods, when students are free to use the facilities on offer. Students who fail to show respect to equipment or other students may be prohibited from entering the centre or using the facilities on offer.
