Another way to stay in touch and find out whets going on in the area is by following Lancashire Police on FACEBOOK and TWITTER. Social networking sites like these present us with a fun way of reaching out to more people and proactively interacting with our communities. Through this online site we hope that younger generations in particular will become more involved with policing in their areas and gain a better understanding of what we do and how they can help us make their neighbourhoods safer.

Our presence on Facebook and Twitter is yet another way for members of the public to communicate with us. PLEASE NOTE : You cannot report incidents via these sites. PACT meetings, neighbourhood surgeries and community events will continue as normal.

So keep right up to date with what’s happening in your area by following us at www.facebook.com/Lancspolice and also www.twitter.com/LancsPolice.

I would also like to encourage all students at BPA to contact the police if they have been the victim of crime, and also if they have any information about a crime that has been committed. However we understand that students may be fearful of being seen talking to the police. If this is the case then you can pass information to the police anonymously using Crimestoppers. Visit the website at www.crimestoppers-uk.org. or call anonymously on 0800 555 111.
